Shane McLeay

You know, I have been blown away by all the positive comments from all over the world and we have gone from a couple of guys wanting to play music we like to being involved in film clips, movies and charting to number one position on commercial charts before its official release. My good friend Jason Brooks and I had both taken a long break from the music business and decided to head into the studio to record my favorite song Loving Arms and the right people heard it and the rest is as they say history!

With all that has happened and at the pace it has happened there are people I specifically want to thank, truth is I was waiting to thank everyone properly in my album credits but because my album is months behind due to issues with studios outside of our control I really want to take this opportunity to thank some people right now.

Paul Cook

I really want to thank Paul Cook! He would have to be one of the best drummers around and has fit into the band really well. Paul has brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to an already seasoned outfit. Not only does Paul fit in from a musical perspective but he is the kind of fella that you don't mind hanging around. I look forward to seeing/hearing him in the studio as we finish the album.

Thanks Paul

Greg Nix

Greg Nix is a legend, genius and a very genuine person. Greg joined the band just as we were about to film the film clip for Hold On and has played a major role in developing our sound and has co-written a lot of the songs with Jason Brooks and I. Greg is a great singer in his own right and is lead singer and guitarist for Such Is Life, one of the hottest bands around!

Greg you are an absolute champion in every sense of the word and I'm honored to call you a good friend! Lookin forward to the future Greg! You are a rockstar!

Jason Brooks

Jason Brooks is a true friend and if it wasn’t for Jason the truth is none of this would be happening. Jason’s belief in me and his passion for the music is amazing and I am grateful for the sacrifices he and his family have made. (Thank you Leanne)

As a bass player myself I am very fussy when it comes to bass players and the sounds they produce but Jase is the best of the best, we have also co-written a lot of the songs together for the album.

Jase you know me better than a lot of people and you know my strengths and my weaknesses and I thank you for everything!

You gotta love the universe Jase!

Peter Bull

I am so happy to have Pete playing in the band, Pete and I are old high school buddies and we played in countless bands together as kids. Pete taught me my first guitar chord!  Peter is well respected by his peers as a quality musician and what he has brought to the band has lifted us another notch once again!

I remember playing in bands and at the same venues in seperate bands and I have always loved his stage presence... he knows what he is about and is an accomplished keyboard player, guitarist and vocalist!  Pete you being involved in this project is the icing on the cake and I can't wait to hear what you bust out in the studio!

Pete we have known each other for around 30 years and its good to be back playing together again!

Linda Dawson is a close personal friend of mine and I am in awe of her work, she takes everyday subjects and turns them into works of art... She even managed to make me look better! Thank you Linda, you are an amazing photographer and an even greater friend! http://photographybylinda-linda.blogspot.com/2009/04/shane-mcleay.html#comment-form

Peter Stevenson

I have known Pete Stevenson since about 1984 when I met him at a show he was playing at with his wife Sharen. I went on to work for Peter for a total of nearly five years and Turn The Page was the first band to record in his Turn Around Music studios back in 1986. Pete has been the knight in shining armor with my album after the studio we started recording in told us in the middle of recording and without ant notice that they couldn't finish our project. Pete, we are all so grateful to you...

You are among the best of the best there is and you have been playing music longer than half the guys in my band were even born! It is a dream come true to have you finish my album - a dream come true and an honor! With everything there is within me I say thank you, you are a true friend.

Regards

Shane

Hamish McDonald

Hamish is a musical genius and the way he has interpreted what we wanted musically was fantastic! Everything we wanted to happen musically happened… it’s almost like he could plug into your head and know exactly what you were thinking musically! Hamish’s musical insight and talent is reflected in the first four tracks we recorded and his production skills have molded my original songs Hold On and The Mirror into what they are now. I am honored to have had Hamish work on my music; he is the best of the best. The guitar work and arrangements on Hold On are all Hamish… So next time you hear Hold On on the radio remember Hamish!

Some great music has come out of Paradyme Studios including Such Is Life, The Great Escape and Judy McCombe. Hamish, I am more than grateful to all the work you put into the four tracks we recorded with you and I just wanted to publicly acknowledge everything you have done because I appreciate everything you did. Most of all I really enjoyed getting to know you and some of those late night deep and meaningful conversations were pretty cool… Thank you Hamish!

I know that most singers and bands rarely mention the people behind their music but I really wanted to give credit where credit is due and Hamish deserves this rap!

It's a shame he couln't finish my album...

Brad Diebert

Every now and then someone comes across your path that changes your life, someone who shines light in all the dark places and makes your world brighter! Brad Diebert is one of those people for me; he is a true friend, mentor, inspiration and confidant! Brad thank you for everything. It’s good to be takin’ care of business with you!
